things to do

We’re thrilled to see you in Mexico City — a place bursting with culture, color, and amazing food. To help you make the most of it, we mapped out our favorite spots to explore. From tacos to museums, cocktails to parks—check it out below.

PS - Mexico City's elevation is 2,240 meters (7,349 feet) above sea level. It may take a moment to get acclimated, so we suggest refraining from running or exercising outdoors.

Travel & Stay

Getting There

Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) is the primary airport for Mexico City. Depending on traffic, the airport is just 20-30 minutes away from downtown Mexico City by Uber or cab. Delta, United, American Airlines, and other major airlines offer multiple flights to and from Mexico City on a daily basis.

Getting Around

Once you've arrived in town, we suggest using Uber just like you would back home. It's convenient and more comfortable than public transport, which can get extremely crowded around rush hour. For the more adventurous, Mexico City also offers daily and weekly passes for their bike share program.

Hotels

We've coordinated with 2 hotels for discounted rates for our wedding weekend. Hotel Casa Prim and Hotel Galería Plaza Reforma are both located centrally in Juarez. Please see below for booking instructions.

Airbnbs

Mexico City has no shortage of vibey, charming, and beautiful Airbnbs or vacation rentals throughout town. We think it's a great option, as long as you find one with all the amenities you want.

Galeria plaza

Hotel Galería Plaza Reforma is conveniently located in the Financial District and is a 35 minute taxi ride to the venue. Rooms start at $100 USD per night. To book, email reservaciones.gpref@brisas.com.mx and mention our names to get the preferred rate.

Casa Prim

Casa Prim is a boutique hotel located within a historic building in downtown Mexico City. They have a charming rooftop restaurant and have room specials starting at $96 USD per night. To book, simply email hola@casaprim.com.mx and mention our code #Olivieri&Shah.

Registry

We appreciate your kindness!
Having you in Mexico is the best gift in itself! By no means are gifts required, but we are accepting contributions to our honeymoon and future home fund. To make a contribution, please following the link below to our registry. Since we'll have luggage limits, we kindly request that no boxed gifts are brought to Mexico.
